The Florida Institute for Reform and Empowerment (F.I.R.E.) has developed a strategy to advance pro-women and pro-family policies through a non-partisan public education campaign aimed at increasing informed civic participation and engagement among women. The goal of this plan is to create lasting change through strategic, long-term capacity building by which we will build an organized constituency of women to demand better economic conditions and opportunities.
F.I.R.E. conducted a Florida Women Vote campaign leading up to the August 26 election and will ramp back up for the November election. F.I.R.E. collected nearly 100 photos from women documenting why they were planning to vote in the election, which also coincided with the 94th anniversary of women earning the right to vote.
